Frequently asked questions
We serve Thai companies with foreign staff, international companies establishing a team in Thailand, and individual expatriates filing on their own — for example those applying for a retirement or dependent visa. From a single case to an entire organisation.
Yes. Many clients ask us to handle only certain parts — 90-day reporting, TM.30 notification, or annual renewal only. We define the scope and fee for that specific part clearly before starting.
Always. Before starting we provide the scope, process, estimated timeline and full cost — including government fees — in writing. There are no hidden charges.
We provide service in Thai, English and Chinese. Our team communicates directly with expatriate management and coordinates with Thai government agencies.
It depends on the type of work. Visa and work permit renewals typically take around 2–4 weeks from the date documents are complete; new applications may take longer. We give you a clear timeline from day one.
We recommend starting document preparation at least 45 days before expiry, because some company documents — the latest company affidavit, financial statements and PND.1 filings with receipts — must be requested from external agencies and each takes a different amount of time.
The actual filing with Immigration and the Department of Employment can generally be made within roughly 30 days before expiry. Filing early does not shorten your visa validity, but it does leave room to fix things if officers request more documents.
No. Once the work permit expires you must stop working immediately. Working without a valid permit carries legal penalties for both the employee and the employer.
An expired permit generally cannot be “renewed” — a new application is required, and your visa status may be affected as well. If this happens, contact us as soon as possible so we can assess the options and put things right.
The general rule is 2 million baht of paid-up registered capital per work permit, with four Thai employees for each foreign employee. Ordinary companies can usually obtain up to ten permits.
Different criteria apply to BOI-promoted companies and to certain business types. We recommend a consultation before you set the company structure and hiring plan, so that registered capital and employee ratios genuinely support the next one to two years.
The most common case is converting a tourist visa to Non-Immigrant B in order to work. This can generally be filed inside Thailand at an Immigration office, provided you have at least around 15 days of permitted stay remaining and the company documents are complete.
If the conditions are not met, you may need to apply at a Thai embassy or consulate abroad instead. We check your status and eligibility first, then recommend the fastest and safest route.
